WATER AND SEWER RATES
Water and Sewer Bills occur on a monthly basis and consist of a calculated rate based on the water consumption that passes through the meter, and will also consist of a rate for sewer usage (see ‘Sewer Rates’ below for a more detailed explanation). Water rates are listed below. Most residences are ¾ inch meters.
A monthly water and sewer bill for a residential new customer based on 5000 gallons of water use would be $66.77 for water, $1.00 for tax and $41.80 for sewer for a total bill of $109.57 per month.
SEWER RATES effective 4-1-26
The Residential New Customer Rate for sewer is $41.80, based on the new customer average of 5000 gallons for sewer. Residential Customers sewer bills are calculated on a Winter Average basis after a winter average has been established. Winter averages are based on a specified three month period for residential customers only.
Commercial Customers sewer bills are based on actual monthly water consumption which is billed in hundreds of gallons.
New Customer Sewer Rate is $41.80 based on a new customer average of 5000 gallons. Residential Sewer usage is based on a Winter Average in gallons after a Winter Average has been established. Sewer bills are made up of a base rate and commodity charge per gallon of use. The minimum commodity charge is for 1000 gallons.

- Commodity charge is $5.22 per 1000 gallons of water
- Commercial Base: $36.93
- Commodity charge is $5.22 per 1000 gallons of water
Sales tax applies to water service in accordance with state regulations. Sewer service charges are not subject to sales tax. Please call the office if you have any questions at 816.761.5421.
