The Jackson County Public Water Supply District No. 1 (the “District’) is a political subdivision of the State of Missouri organized in 1935, incorporated under authority granted pursuant to Chapter 247 of the Missouri Revised Statutes. The present service area consists of primarily the City of Grandview, Missouri, serving approximately 24,500 customers, with approximately 9,000 connections. The District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors that oversee the management, policy-making, and financial health of the District. The Board of Directors meets regularly on the third Thursday of each month to conduct the business of the District.

Backflow Prevention
Why It Matters
Backflow occurs when water flows in the wrong direction, potentially pulling contaminants into the public water system. Our prevention program ensures your drinking water stays safe.
Who Needs It

Your Responsibilities
- Install an approved backflow prevention device (if required)

How do I start new service?
A contract needs to be completed and deposit placed before service can be started.
Do I need to be there to have the water turned on?
Yes, someone needs to be at the service location when our service technician arrives to turn the water on. If no one is there, a service charge will be assessed if a second trip is necessary.
