How do I start new service?

A contract needs to be completed and deposit placed before service can be started.

Do I need to be there to have the water turned on?

Yes, someone needs to be at the service location when our service technician arrives to turn the water on. If no one is there, a service charge will be assessed if a second trip is necessary.

How do I terminate service?

Service can be terminated by calling our office with a termination date and a forwarding address.

When do I get my deposit back?

Your deposit is held on your account until service is terminated. At that time, your deposit will be applied to your final bill, and any excess monies will be refunded to you by check mailed to the last known address on your next billing cycle.

Can I make online payments?

Yes, once you set up your account on line, you can make payments with a debit/credit VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER or AMERICAN EXPRESS for a convenience fee. We cannot accept electronic checks at this time.

Can I pay by phone?

Yes, you may pay by phone with a debit/credit VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER or AMERICAN EXPRESS for a convenience fee.

Is there a charge to pay by check?

No, there is no charge to make payments by check, money order, or cash.

Do you have an automatic payment option?

Yes, you may pay by automatic withdrawal from your checking account. Please contact the office for the necessary form.

To whom do I make my check payable?

You may make your check payable to “Jackson County Water #1”.

Do you make adjustments to my bill if I had a leak during the billing cycle?

No, unfortunately we need to bill you for the amount of water that goes through your meter. If it is unusually high, and it is a hardship to pay in one payment, call the office to request payment arrangements.
